Meet Esther Bleuel MA, MFT, MDR President and Founder Early in life, I identified my passion for creative problem-solving and helping individuals to grow and thrive. My experience as an executive, psychotherapist, professor, mediator and consultant brings a unique perspective and depth of understanding to my work to ensure positive outcomes for motivated individuals ready to deal effectively with difficult conversations and conflict. After teaching for seven years, I spent 15 years in the newspaper industry as a sales and marketing executive, responsible for large staffs and budgets. I learned the importance of communication in earning trust and respect. Identifying and solving the right problems was critical since my success depended, in large measure, upon accomplishing goals through other people. In 1988 I completed a Masters program in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, became licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and established a private practice. I have always been intrigued by the interactive dynamics between people — workplaces, families, friends, social groups, partnerships — and am inspired by commitment to personal growth and achievement. In 1993, I formed Carson Consulting Company to provide consulting services to small, mid-sized and family businesses to pursue my dream. In 1997 I earned a Masters Degree in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute of Conflict Resolution, School of Law, Pepperdine University. My professional work was richly enhanced by a deeper understanding of the dynamics and skills needed for interpersonal and organizational conflict resolution. I taught numerous classes in business negotiation, mediation and social psychology of conflict as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine. Because conflict is an inevitable part of life, it’s important to know how to deal with it effectively. It can be as simple as a misunderstanding or as big as a battle. Some conflict is destructive; some conflict is a catalyst for growth and understanding. The difference is how we engage with the conflicts we face. Skill, insight and preparation helps individuals to have tough conversations and confront conflict with confidence and positive results. I learned skills that enable me to deal with any type of hard conversation — personal or professional, planned or unexpected — and I can teach them to you. I’m eager to help you because the peace of mind that comes with knowing how to navigate successfully through the rough waters of conflict and challenging relationships is priceless!
